The project includes the construction of the Rzepin bypass along the roads No. 134 and 139. It’s 2,34 miles. The newly designed road system provides for the construction of a section of the bypass, the construction of a canalised medium roundabout type (rondo R1), linking to the existing R2 roundabout by building an additional inlet, draining rainwater from the roadway to road ditches and rainwater drainage, removing the collision with the existing technical infrastructure of the land not related to the road and green areas. The overarching objective of the project is to improve accessibility to motorways and expressways by increasing the standard and quality of the road network of voivodships and BRDs. The implementation of the project will contribute to strengthening the coherence of the Polish transport network with the transport systems of the EU countries, ensuring the economic and spatial cohesion of the country and individual regions with the European space. As a result of the construction of the Rzepina ring road, it is planned to achieve the objectives of: • facilitated accessibility to the main transport routes, especially the A2 motorway and the S3 expressway, • expensive bypass of m. Rzepin – transfer of transit traffic outside the city centre, • improvement of technical state of roads in m. Rzepin, lower load and fuel consumption, lower noise and exhaust emissions, • reduction of harmful emissions of pollutants, noise and vibration of the city by transporting the city by moving traffic from the village, • increasing the attractiveness of investment and economic activity of the region.
