The project includes the development of the intersection of the roads of voivodships No. 297 and 283 in Kożuchów to the intersection of a roundabout type, including reconstruction of downhills, sidewalks, construction and reconstruction of rainwater drainage, reconstruction of the telecommunication network and construction of road lighting. Roads No. 297 and 283 will be rebuilt over a length of 0.25 km. The aim of the project is to improve the external and internal transport accessibility of the region in road traffic, the overarching objective of the project is to improve accessibility to motorways and expressways by increasing the standard and quality of the road network and road safety. The implementation of the project will contribute to strengthening the coherence of the Polish transport network with the transport systems of the EU countries, ensuring the host and spatial cohesion of the country and individual regions with the European space. As a result of the expansion of the junctions no. 297 and 283 in Kożuchów, the following objectives are planned: • facilitated accessibility to the main transport routes, especially the A18/A4 motorway and the S3 expressway, • very good technical condition of the road, reducing excessive fuel consumption, noise and exhaust emissions, • higher throughput of the cross. operating in the form of a roundabout type, • adequate walking distance for pedestrians from the edge of the crossroads. — increase safety and comfort of driving as well as improved dehydration conditions, • increase investment attractiveness and economic activation of the region, • facilitated access of commuters to the Newsol Functional Area in Nowa Sól/Kożuchów and to the special economic zone in Szprotawa and the zone of economic activity in Żagań. • increased mobility of residents, • facilitated transit through M. Kożuchów in the course of DW 297 and 283 – high throughput of the intersection, shortening the journey time.
