The subject of the investment is the creation of the Radiotherapy Centre in Wielospecialist Voivodship Hospital in Gorzów Wlkp. Spółka z o.o. within the centre will be established a Department of Radiotherapy, a branch of radiotherapy for 25 beds, a hostel for patients on 26 beds and part of adm-techn. The project consists of the construction of a building with a total area of 4607.23 m² with the possibility of further non-collid expansion. The project also included the purchase of 2 high-energy accelerators, computer tomograph, inf. systems and equipment, including beds, furniture, etc. — ineligible expenditure financed as complementary project from the National Programme for the Control of Cancer Diseases and own resources. The project also provides for the development of the area including parking, access roads and connections. The main objective of the project is to improve the availability of high-quality medical services in the field of oncology. The specific objectives shall be: — halting the growth of cancer – achieving average European standards for early detection of cancers and improving accessibility to the most effective treatments – creating conditions for use for cancer practice, huge advances in knowledge of the causes and mechanisms of malignant cancer development, – widening availability to methods of early diagnosis of malignancies and availability to modern, proven in practice methods of treatment of malignancies.
