Development of tourist and recreational areas on the Warta River in the area of Portowa Street in Sieradz

The main objective of the project is to use the natural and cultural assets of Sieradz to develop the tourism economy. The project through the development of the Warta River will contribute to eliminating numerous inconveniences and shortcomings and adapting the offer to the expectations and requirements of tourists. It will allow for active, weekend and transit tourism. The project envisages carrying out tasks: — construction of a floating bridge for kayaks, -designation of 12 caravanning places for cars or tourist caravans, -construction of the summer swimming pool zone (roofed area – area approx. 1500 m², with swimming pool area approx. 80-90 m² and depth of 30 and 60 cm and a swimming pool with a depth of approx. 125 cm and surface approx. 200 m² – size approx. 10.0 x 20.0 m) including a multifunctional building (saver station, toll point, toilet room, technical and storage facilities and control of swimming pool installation), – management of the beach (with showers, changing room and stand for rescuer) together with a field for volleyball, – construction of multifunctional terraces, -construction of the facility for the needs of technical and social facilities and sanitary facilities. The target group will be residents of the Łódź Voivodeship and tourists visiting the Municipality and the region, wishing to rest in the immediate vicinity of the river. The offer will be used, among others, caravanning lovers, canoeing tourists, lovers of leisure time in the form of active leisure, transit tourists or weekend tourists. The infrastructure will be in line with the concept of universal design. The project shall take into account the use of land, communication lines and facilities to be easily accessible to people on wheelchairs or with reduced mobility – without curbs, faults and variations in the field.
