The main objective of the project is to protect the environment by increasing the use of energy from renewable sources (RES). The result of the project is "An estimated annual reduction in greenhouse gas emissions (CI3) – 744.54 tonnes of CO2 equivalent/year. The main target groups are residents and tourists from the municipality (a detailed description can be found in the feasibility study). The project envisages the execution of 531 solar collector installations (assembled on buildings and on premises) and the installation of 22 biomass boilers (550 kW) for heating hot and hot water. Additionally, the project includes associated tasks (development of study, development of project documentation and investment costing, investment supervision, implementation of project promotion, Internet platform managing energy based on ICT, project management and monitoring and financial support). Analysis of the selected project option confirms the accuracy of the choice: — Option contributing to the project objectives – the lowest cost per unit result measure option – the fastest feasible option due to the least complex nature and the minimum of procedures – the simple nature of the option not requiring the involvement or hiring of new people – the implementation of the option does not require additional permits – the option most acceptable by the local community and municipal authorities – the implementation of the option in the OSI area: 4.
