The aim of the project is to increase the effectiveness of detection of Borrelia burgdorferi infections among residents of Lublin Voivodeship of active age, with particular attention to risk groups i.e. farmers, foresters, hunters by increasing knowledge and awareness of the health risks associated with tick diseases and carrying out preventive tests for Lyme disease. As a result, preventive measures will increase to detect early diseases and start treatment. The project is addressed to residents of Lubelskie voivodship fulfilling the criteria set out in the Borrelia burgdorferi infection prevention programme among residents of Lubelskie voivodship, with particular regard to risk groups as prevention of Lyme disease for the years 2017-2019. The project will include information and education activities in the field of epidemiology and prevention of Lyme disease and the validity of diagnostic tests for Lyme disease, as well as diagnostic tests for Lyme disease.
