National research centre for intelligent composite materials

The aim of the project is to build a highly specialised laboratory facility necessary for conducting research and development, organised within the framework of the structure of the Air Forces Technical Institute, the competence centre of the National Research Centre for Intelligent Composite Materials, dedicated to the development and research of new innovative materials for the aerospace industry and high technology sectors. The main research objective to be realised in the National Research Centre for Intelligent Composite Materials is to develop intelligent hull for aircraft with integrated composite coating and necessary physical size sensors. An example for this hull is the observations of nature taken from the structure of the bloodstream or the skin of humans and animals. The idea of the project is to create a team of laboratories providing tools for coordinated work on new technologies of intelligent materials containing sensory and transmission medium, i.e. so-called. Sensory-transmission plating. Laboratories of the National Research Centre for Intelligent Composite Materials are designed to enable integration into widely understood composite materials of fiber optic and electrical data transmission media, power lines, various sensors, microprocessor controllers and data transmission systems. Laboratories at universities and research institutes currently operating have a narrow specialisation and do not deal with the development of intelligent composite materials in a coordinated manner from the planning stage of their tasks and equipment.
