Project Mon. “The construction of an early warning system against catastrophic phenomena in Płock County” aims to build a system designed to alert and alert the inhabitants of the county about the dangers of flooding, chemical hazards associated with the operation of landfills, transport of dangerous goods, radiation hazards and damage caused by adverse weather phenomena. The construction of an integrated system for alerting and alerting the population about threats in Płock county, involves the construction of 19 alarm points (PA) in designated locations and the installation of 8 control panels intended for installation in municipalities. Alarm devices already existing in two municipalities of the district will be included into the system under construction. Ultimately, the county system will be connected to the voivodship headquarters. The main objective of the project will be implemented by launching alarm points (PA) in designated locations in Płock county, installing applications and control devices within the existing integrated information and alerting system. In addition, the implementation of the main objectives will strengthen educational activities in the form of transfer of knowledge about threats, alarm signals and warning messages to residents of Płock County. Preventive action in the form of: meetings with residents in the commune, publication of project materials on the website, distribution of publications, issue of articles in the press and radio, the use of information and educational tools are the next steps that will serve the main objective. The implementation of the project will ensure a higher level of safety for the population actually exposed to the risks mentioned above and will help to minimise the effects of catastrophic phenomena in the Płock district.
