The project involves the construction of an early warning system against catastrophic events in the city of Ciechanów. The aim of the project is to increase the number of alert and warning sirens and reach more residents. The project aims to ensure the transmission of sound signals and voice messages to the population in the event of threats in the city of Ciechanów. Alarm points will cover about 19,000 inhabitants (substantive criterion 2). The warning and alarm system will be placed in locations that have not been covered by the existing system. The planned location of the sirens focuses on covering densely populated areas, in particular public areas such as schools, kindergartens, work establishments, housing estates of single-family and multi-family houses. The use of electronic sirens will allow the transmission of sound signals and voice messages so that the population will have more time to react and take preparatory action. Today, society does not have adequate knowledge of existing alarm signals, and it is therefore appropriate to extend the system with electronic sirens, which will allow not only the transmission of audible signals, but also warning messages, which contain information about the type of alarm announced and recommendations to be followed. The project assumes the construction of 9 new alarm points (PA) based on electronic sirens with a power of 900 W in designated locations/locations, as well as equipping 1 alarm point with chemical contamination sensors and 1 point at a weather station. The beneficiary declares that the Ciechanów Municipality system will meet the requirements resulting from the recommendation of the Mazovian Voivodeship for the construction of an integrated system for alerting and alerting the population about threats to the Mazovian Voivodship within the framework of the WM 2014-2020.
