Development of the cultural and educational offer of the city of Płock by adapting the existing facility to the needs of the Płock Cultural and Art Centre

The main aim of the project is to increase the attractiveness and improve the quality of Płock’s cultural and educational offer. 4 specific objectives of the project are defined, which relate to the expansion of the area for cultural activities, the provision of an offer for people with disabilities and the dissemination of cultural heritage and attitudes and cultural competences of the recipients. This will be possible thanks to the implementation of a diverse cultural programme based on new forms of participation in the cultural and creative life of the city, such as amateur theatre, art studio for adults, film club, photo studio or community centre. Particular attention should be paid to improving accessibility and even opening up the cultural offer for people with disabilities, thanks to the adaptation of the modernised building to the needs of these people. The scope of the project stems from the identified social need for the development of the cultural and educational offer supported by the analysis of demand. One of the results of the project will be a 54 % increase in the number of people benefiting from the cultural offer and a 12 % increase in the number of hours of availability compared to the current offer. The project is planned to be implemented in a partnership of 3 entities: Leader – City of Płock, Partners: Per Se Theatre Association, Association of Friends of the Vox Singers Choir. The project assumptions retain the criterion of cost-effectiveness of the maximum co-financing value. The analysis carried out confirms that the option adopted for implementing this project is socially, economically and technically optimal. The risk analysis did not reveal events that could interfere with the implementation of the investment. The only threat is the failure to obtain EU funding, which could lead to a reduction in the scope of the investment and even a postponement during its implementation.
