The aim of the project is to revitalise marginalised areas in Ciechanów by revaluating the building at Piłsudski Square 1, together with the surroundings to give new socio-educational functions and to change the use of Maria Konopnicka Passage by restoring historical and cultural values for economic development by 30.08.2018. The implementation of the project is a comprehensive approach to the process of revitalisation of degraded areas, assumes the revaluation of urban space and infrastructure. It will contribute to revitalising the 2 regeneration sub-areas defined in the LPR through 3 investment tasks: 1) Development of M. Konopnicka Passage along with adjacent area. Investment in infrastructure will be a tool for socio-economic change, create a friendly public space inspiring the construction of positive social ties and stimulate entrepreneurship in the immediate surroundings. There will be a place to conduct seasonal services and trade activities, sell handicrafts, promote artists, organise fairs and fairs; 2) Revaluation, adaptation and equipment of the building at pl. Piłsudski 1, together with the closest surroundings (the so-called “hall curve”) for social purposes-edukac.-culture-residential. The investment will make it possible to implement social and educational activities co-financed by the ESF. There will be: KIS, Daytime Support Centre and Residential Club; 3) Establishment of a common urban space, i.e. PL Piłsudski in the Bloki district, which is the central point on this most degraded area. The proposal covers 2 complementary projects included in the LPR of Ciechanów for the period 2005-2023: project No 12-GP-B and project No 6-GP-Ś. The project concerning the revitalisation of part of the area of Bloki is the main project in the second bundle of projects in the RIT Investment Plan of the Cichanowski subregion.
