Great art in a small town

The tasks of the “Great Art in Small City” project will be carried out in two locations: ul. Grunwaldzka 2 (Z. No. 832/9) and ul. Płocka 2 (Z. No. 818) in the town of Płońsk, in Płońsk County, Mazowieckie Voivodeship. The material scope of the project includes the renovation and reconstruction of two residential tenement houses in the strict historical centre of Płońska, located in the revitalised area on the Płoń marketplace. The project will include investor supervision and promotional activities. Implementation of the project in kind is planned for the period 2018-2020. The main objective of the project is to counteract the marginalisation of crisis areas identified in the Urban Programme for the Revitalisation of Płońska for the years 2016-2023, where undesirable social and economic phenomena are exacerbated and the infrastructure has been degraded and destroyed. The project will result in the restoration of socio-economic functions on the revitalised area within the project. The residential tissue will be renewed and a renewed service area will be made available. Renovated and reconstructed tenement houses will be adapted to the current technical requirements. The project has been designed in such a way that its products are useful to all, as far as possible, also for people with disabilities. The task covered by this proposal is part of the wider revitalisation activities carried out by the Municipality of Płońsk within the framework of the Urban Programme for the Revitalisation of Płoń for the years 2016-2023. The target group in the project is mainly residents of both tenement houses, but also entrepreneurs offering their services in premises located in buildings, their customers, as well as residents of Płońska and the surrounding area, as well as tourists who stay on the Płoń market every day. Improving the aesthetics of the tenement houses will contribute to a better public perception of the area, and the reduction of dust and gas emissions as a result of thermomodernisation will benefit these people’s health.
