The aim of the project is to develop services provided at local community level to 18 families and 14 children through the implementation in Płock City of a programme of deinstitutionalisation of social services, including professional improvement of 31 replacement care workers during the 24 months of implementation of the project. The following types of operations will be implemented within the project: preventive measures to restrict the placement of children in foster care through family support services; B) activities leading to the departure from institutional care to services provided in the local community by setting up a care facility for up to 14 children; C) educating a candidate for director of a new care and education centre of up to 14 children and the improvement of family foster care. The first action implemented in the project is to prevent the need to take away a child from a family who is experiencing all kinds of crises. The second activity is the creation of a new Care and Educational Centre in the Town, employing staff and equipping it as part of the project with the necessary equipment. This will reduce the number of children staying in the existing Care and Educational Centre and increase the comfort of children in these facilities. The last step is to improve the knowledge and competences of those taking care of substitutes. Such comprehensive actions will contribute to the deinstitutionalisation of social services provided in the City.
