Thermal modernisation of educational buildings in the Municipality of Kraków

Subject matter of the project: Thermal modernisation of 27 educational buildings. In 3 buildings there are boarding schools. The costs of modernising this part of the buildings have been deducted proportionally by the ratio of boarding area to the total heated area and included in ineligible costs. Due to technical conditions, these parts of buildings are included in the calculations (storey fragments, segment fragments). In the case of the building at 6 Tyniecka Street, the technical and architectural aspects made it possible to exclude the boarding house from the project. In-kind scope of the project: Energy modernisation of buildings, including, depending on the needs, energy audit-warming of external walls, ceilings and stropodaches, partial replacement of window and door carpentry, modernisation of CO installation (exchange of heat source, installation of valves, thermostatic heaters and return valves, regulation of heating systems), replacement of storage tanks for hot water, use of RES (one facility). The scope is described in energy audits, project documentation and functional-use programme. The types of materials and their thickness were chosen due to meeting minimum technical requirements and then based on the cost-saving ratio of a given improvement based on the minimum SPBT, which guarantees the best technical and economic solution. The project was divided into 6 tasks. The implementation of the project will contribute to reducing low emissions, which is very important in the situation of Krakow. The implementation of the project will result, among others: reduction of CO2-32.90 % reduction in final energy demand for buildings – 44.35 % reduction in PM10 and PM2.5-44.65 % emissions. The project does not provide for the installation of mandatory heat accounting equipment as they are already installed in the buildings covered by the project.
