“Reducing low emissions in Tarnów”

Tarnów has been classified as areas where corrective action is necessary to remove low-efficiency heating equipment, indicated in the POP for the Małopolska voivodship. The reference to the point is in point C1.1. The project was indicated in PGN, which was positively reviewed by WFOŚiGW in Krakow. Before the project is implemented, dust emissions shall be: PM10 6,397 Mgrok and PM2.5 2,693 Mgrok and CO2 emissions 1750,66 Mgrok. After the project, CO2 emissions expressed in tonnes of equivalent will be 798.18. PM10 and PM2.5 dust emissions after implementation will be 0.0017 and 0.0017 Mgrok. The project will reduce CO2 emissions by 54.41 and reduce PM10 and PM2,5 emissions by 99.97 and 99.94 respectively. The PGN for Tarnów indicated that old, low-efficiency coal boilers, which are still very large in the city, are a major problem. Tarnów is one of the cities with a high risk in terms of emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere. The document identifies corrective actions affecting the improvement of air quality, i.e. the development of district heating and the elimination of low emission sources. The campaign will focus on raising awareness of the harmfulness of waste incineration in furnaces and individual boilers and the use of old high-emission coal boilers, improving energy efficiency, providing information on the impact of pollution on the health of residents and guidance to limit exposure to poor air quality. There is no provision for a cover scheme for residents with increased heating costs associated with the permanent change of the heating system. As part of the project, the priority will be to connect the buildings to the MPEC, in accordance with the plan of development of the heating network resulting from the Project assumptions to the plan for the supply of heat, electricity and gaseous fuels for the Municipality of Tarnów for the years 2012 2030 and is not planned to be implemented in the spa town.
