Improving air quality within NATURA 2000 areas, improving air quality across regional borders, improving the energy efficiency of residential buildings by modernising distributed heat sources and preparing hot water. The scope of modernisation includes the replacement of 200 coal boilers with 191 modern, low-emission biomass boilers and 9 boilers for gas, as well as the adaptation of internal installations in single-family buildings for compatible operation of the installation with a new heat source. All 200 modernisations are planned in single-family houses. On the basis of population surveys, a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions of 2382.812 Mgrok was calculated. The PM 10 level of 0.27567 Mgrok and PM 2.5 level of 0.27567 Mgrok were calculated. There are no spa towns in the district of Suskie and no collective connections to the heating network are planned. The Suski District lies in the area indicated in the Air Protection Programme for the Małopolska Voivodship, which is attached to Resolution No. XXXII45117 of the Małopolska Voivodship of 23 January 2017. The project envisages actions to raise the public’s environmental awareness of energy saving, fuel management and environmental activities, as well as routine checks on boiler exchange farms.
