Improvement of transport between PKP Station and Kuźnice in Zakopane with the creation of an integrated interchange centre at the Lower Railway Station on Kasprowy Wierch.

The subject of the project is the construction of a two-level interchange hub in Kuźnice managed using the ITS system and the creation of a bicycle connection along the Kuźnice railway station route. The project’s material scope will include: reconstruction of the square in Kuźnice with the arrangement of space, the creation of a transport loop and a BikeRide bicycle parking lot with spaces for 59 bicycles, construction of a walking track on the street. The Tatrzański guides, together with the reconstruction of the roadway, include the second stage, covering the section from the square in Kuźnice to the intersection with ul. Karłowicz to the Ronda of John Paul II is currently under construction and is not included in the scope of the investment, the Slovak Boulevard from the Road to Bystre Street. Guides of Tatra Mountains, there will be a bicycle route connecting the railway station in Zakopane with a modern transport centre in Kuźnice. This will contribute to improving public transport and increasing the use of alternative forms of bicycle transport. The effect will be to reduce traffic on this route, thereby reducing the emissions of substances harmful to health and the environment in Zakopane. The safety and comfort of those using the infrastructure covered will also increase and the image of Zakopane as a modern tourist centre will be improved.
