The object of the project, implemented in the Design and Construction mode, is the modernisation of the square at the PKP Railway Station in order to expand the interchange node, which will integrate rail and bus transport, as well as reconstruction of access roads and implementation of intelligent transport system. The scope of the investment will include the development of design documentation and construction works concerning the ordering of the square space, broadening the number of departure stations for local transport of buses and buses, making roofed worlds and other improvements. There will be a stopover for buses and buses waiting for departure. The implemented ITS system will optimise comprehensive traffic management in the area of controlling the access of carriers to the interchange hub, as well as modern passenger information and monitoring and streamlining traffic within the city.In order to organise transport more efficiently and improve access to the communication centre, the Home Army roundabout will be rebuilt. 2700 m² in the area of reconstruction of the road body with substructure and pavement, reorganisation of pedestrian crossings and the designation of a bicycle path. The street will be rebuilt. Szymony is an alternative to long-distance, regional and local buses, allowing to avoid traffic jams. All these activities will have a positive impact on the safety and comfort of travellers.The investments indicated in the project will be aimed at increasing low carbonity and sustainable mobility in Zakopane, according to the provisions of the PGN for the Municipality of Zakopane. The implementation of the project will reduce emissions to the atmosphere of substances harmful to health. The tasks will be fully tailored to those with reduced mobility and for all social groups using public transport.
