The subject of the project includes the purchase of 13 factory-new electric traction units) EZT in four-membered version (8 pcs) and five-membered (5 pieces), designed for passenger connections in the Kraków agglomeration with technical documentation. The newly purchased rolling stock will be directed to the operation of connections launched by Koleje Małopolskie Sp. z o.o. (KM). In the first place, new trains will serve passengers on the lines: Wieliczka Rynek-Kopalnia – Kraków Airport/Airport (SKA1) and Kraków-Tarnów (SKA3). Moreover, in order to optimise the use of new rolling stock, it is not excluded that it will be used on other railway lines of the Małopolska province, as the purchase of rolling stock will allow the expansion of the current network of connections and the operation of subsequent lines by KM. The order shall also include: — granting a guarantee for a period of 60 months from the date of final acceptance of each EZT and providing a comprehensive service service for a period of 5 years (included in the price of each EZT); — licensing of software and technical documentation. The project envisages the following tasks: — purchase of EZT, – costs related to project management. Rolling stock will be adapted to the needs of people with reduced mobility, vehicles will be equipped with ramps and automatic lifts. The technical solutions adopted make it possible to meet environmental requirements, exploit the opportunities offered by its track and network infrastructure and ensure comfort of travel in line with the expectations of travellers and European standards in this respect for regional transport. All vehicles shall comply with the Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSI).
