Planned investment, which is part of a wider revitalisation project The Auschwitz Space of Meetings will consist of the development of an area of approx. 7 hectares of forested land between ul. Slovak, Chemiks, Dąbrowski and Al. Millenniums for the park with the recreational function of the Peace Park. These activities will constitute the first stage of the development of the entire area that once constituted a buffer zone between the Chemical Plants and the Chemików Estate between the area between ul. Slovak, Chemiks, Dąbrowski and Olszewski. The scope shall include in particular: demolition of the building in the technical condition of the common room, dismantling of existing small architecture facilities, dismantling existing sections of fences and paving paths, construction of new pavements for pedestrians and bicycle paths, installation of playground equipment for younger children and playground for older children, water mains, sanitary drainage, construction of a pond with a floating benches, reconstruction of so-called whale hills, installation of existing buildings, small architecture The existing system of pedestrian paths serves mainly as a communication function for the local residents, and the common room building is not used due to the technical condition. The area in question is undeveloped and the existing lighting is insufficient. The main objective of the project is to change the current state of development and give the area a new function, which also directly relates to the improvement of its aesthetics. The area’s potential is not currently used, and the area is mainly a communication function, and it is not an object safe for users. After the project, the park programme will also complement the offer of sports and hotel facilities located in the vicinity.
