Improvement of air quality in the Kedzierzyn-Strzelecki subregion.

This integrated project includes tasks that will comprehensively reduce CO2 emissions and other burdensome pollutants. Increase the energy efficiency of public transport in the area of the Kedzierzyn-Strzelec Subregion and contribute to improving the functioning of the communication system. The initiative will be implemented in the area of: Kedzierzyńsko-kozielski and Strzelecki and eight communes: Kędzierzyn-Koźle, Cisek, Reńska Wieś, Poland Cerekiew, Ujazd, Strzelce Opolskie, Zawadzkie. In view of the investments carried out, it also applies to the municipality of Leśnica, which is not a partner of the project. The implementation of the project, thanks to the implementation of the described tasks, will contribute to the reduction of pollutant emissions. The proposed traffic arrangements encourage the abandonment of individual motor transport for public transport and cycling (Lg. Bicycle roads 26.44 km), which, by taking traffic from the centre, will reduce exhaust gas production and improve driving comfort. The implementation of the investment will also significantly reduce noise, vibration and pollination of the environment. In addition, the construction of new road pavement structures, the construction of bus bays, P&R car parks (2 facilities, 213 seats) "B&R" (2 facilities, 85 seats), will help to reduce the entry of environmentally friendly substances into the ground. Both the construction of pavements and bicycle paths as well as the installation of road lighting aims to increase traffic flow and improve the safety of road users, including access to safe stops. The project is a response to the needs of the inhabitants of the area. Research shows that among the factors most frequently evaluated negatively by residents are technical infrastructure such as roads, sidewalks, lighting, bicycle paths. The low assessment of these elements translates into low living comfort and low investment attractiveness.
