Extension and modernisation of the municipal waste collection point in Świercz in Olesno Municipality

According to the waste management plan for the Opolskie voivodship for the years 2016-2022 including the years 2023-2028 (Annex I Investment Plan, Table 11), the project includes the extension and modernisation of the separate collection point of municipal waste (hereinafter PPSOK) in Świercz, its retrofitting to be an effective element of a comprehensive municipal waste management system in the Olesno commune and the whole northern region. The aim of the project is to improve the conditions of functioning of the PSZOK operating for residents of Olesno commune (number of residents 17,841 (according to the CSO, as of 31.12.2016), including 13 000 inhabitants, declaring a selective collection of waste) in order to increase the amount of municipal waste undergoing reuse, recycling and recovery by other methods, thus reducing the amount of waste deposited, reducing their negative impact on the environment, eliminating wild landfills. The entire system of separate collection of municipal waste will be covered by 14 municipal waste fractions (for details in the annexes to the proposal: PFU and SWI). The project’s products will be: prepared and enlarged area of PSZOK together with hardened surface, new car weight, renovated, reorganised and equipped warehouse part (for hazardous waste, for equipment and equipment PPSZOK, for used things), extended and renovated office and social building and equipment, preserved fences PSZOK, new gate, lighting, containers with different capacity, adapted to the design of the mobile waste, PSZOK’s equipment to facilitate handling. As part of the funds obtained, the dismantling of unnecessary elements of PSZOK (e.g. used car weight) will also be financed.
