Increase safety and liquidity of traffic in Kędzierzyn-Koźl through expansion and reconstruction of ul. It’s Wyspianski.

This investment assumes the reconstruction of the road located on Wyspiański Street with the reconstruction of the bridge and the construction of a link between the foot-bike path running on the flood shaft on the right-bank side of the bridge, and the system of bicycle paths at the roundabout on the left-bank side using the existing bridge. Repair of the bridge will also allow for further operation and maintenance of the bridge load capacity for vehicles up to 30 tonnes permissible (class C). The reconstruction of the above-mentioned scope requires a slight extension of the bridge allowing a 6.00 m wide roadway in its area (seatening traffic) and a one-sided walking-bike path with a width of 2.50 m, linking it to existing paths on both sides of the river. The project pursues the main objective: increase safety and liquidity of traffic in K-Koźl through reconstruction of ul. It’s Wyspianski. The reconstruction of the bridge involves a complete replacement of the bridge, but leaving the existing supporting structure of spans and supports. This road has a direct connection to the investment areas Port River Koźle (train from ul. Kłodnicka) as well as connects with Katowice Special Economic Zone, provides connection with public facilities. On the street. Wyspiański is located in areas marked with the designation of the University of Warsaw – service and production areas according to the local spatial planning plan. As part of the task, 1 project in the field of improving road safety will be carried out and 0.39 km of communal road will be rebuilt. The reconstruction, together with the extension of the road, will contribute to the creation of an advanced road transport system that will optimally meet the needs of road users and create the conditions for economic development and increase the socio-economic cohesion of the region.
