According to the National Register of Cancers, colorectal and anal cancers are the world’s third most common cancers in men (660 000 cases, 10 %) and the second female (570 000 cases, 9 %). Nearly 60 % of cases occur in developed countries. The implementation of the project will respond to the need to reduce the incidence of the above-mentioned disease and thus prolong the activity of employees. In particular, the implementation of the project will contribute to: — lower incidence on RJG – by removing lesions (polyps) before they become malignant or cancer, – increase the rate of RJG cure (5-year survival), – reduction of mortality on colorectal cancer, – lower cost of cancer treatment on the voivodship scale. Educational and information activities open in the field of profile. RJG is addressed to the entire population of the Opolskie Voivodship, while research and dz.inf-edu. doperson zam. gr. terite. powiats with particularly low reporting for screening in the following age ranges: 50-65 years old, regardless of family history, 40-49 years old, who have a first-degree relative who was diagnosed with RJG and 25-49 years old from a family with Lynch syndrome. Thanks to cooperation with GP, parishes, social org., communes and larger labour establishments, a series of conferences will be held on the above-mentioned topics. In addition, an educational media campaign is planned to change society’s approach to RJG preventive research. The project provides for colonoscopic examinations under full anaesthesia, purchase of necessary medical equipment and adaptation to a bathroom with a full sanitary area and adapted for disabled people. In order to recruit for research and edu-inf. a project promotion is planned. The project will be supervised by a team composed of a project coordinator and an office employee dealing with the organizational side of the project.
