Healthy Mother and Child – with a chance for a better tomorrow!

The project was developed in partnership with the Specialist Non-public Gynecological and Obstetric Department of Health Care “Femina”s.c. J. sleeves, J. Ulfik and Krapkowice Municipality. The project covered the following districts: Kędzierzyńsko-kozielski, shooting, krapkowicki and Gluczycki. The need for the project results from the demographic situation and the increase in depopulation in the Opolskie Voivodeship. Increasing access to high-quality health services (high quality equipment and based on qualified staff) in the area of care for pregnant and young children and education in the broad sense can encourage young parents to take a prior decision to enlarge the family – which may reverse the unfavourable demographic statistics of our region and affect the safe course of pregnancy in the first stage. The tasks planned in the project have such a goal. The project envisages carrying out prenatal tests for 1335 women under the age of 35 up to 20 weeks of pregnancy, of which 100 will be additionally covered by mobile perinatal care within the framework of the birthing school and lactation clinic. In addition, the project plans for vaccination against pneumococcal for 154 children aged from 6 months to 2 years (44.15 % K/55.85 % M).In addition, 46 children to 2 years will be tested psychomotorically, and 23. will be given mobile rehabilitation instructions at home – as part of the correction of the child’s development abnormalities up to 2 years. Training was also planned for medical personnel (20. people). The project will contribute to achieving the main objective of enabling access to high-quality health services for pregnant women and young children, thus giving them the chance to safely run their pregnancy, deliver without complications and extend and improve the quality of life of their child, living in the highest possible efficiency without congenital diseases or caused by pneumococcal diseases – also in adult life (until old age).
