Improving the quality of preschool education in Kędzierzyn-Koźl. Stage II.

The project assumes a number of complementary actions to improve the quality of preschool education in the Kędzierzyn-Koźle Municipality by equalising the chances of children who, due to their psychophysical characteristics, have special educational needs. It is a continuation of activities initiated in 2017 within the project “Improving the quality of preschool education in Kędzierzyn-Koźl” No. RPOP.09.01.03-16-0014/16-00 thanks to which both directors of pre-school establishments, teachers and coordinating staff have gained valuable experience in implementing actions for the education of pre-school children. The directors of kindergartens carried out comprehensive diagnosis, including conclusions from the inventory review carried out and the assessment of the technical condition of the equipment of classrooms and cabinets, diagnosed the most important problems of pupils, who need support as part of equalising development opportunities. The purchased equipment will be adapted to the appropriate educational stage and addressed to children of preschool age. The diagnosis includes information on the need for additional activities for pupils and improving the competence of teachers (courses, training). The diagnosis has been verified and approved by the faculty of education and education. The planned actions are tailored to the needs of the kindergarten and result directly from the problems identified by the directors. They respond to real needs in terms of support for children with special development and educational needs. The problems diagnosed are further described in sections 3.4 and 3.5. Pre-school education and development support is crucial for the future development of children who enter the next stages of education and, consequently, the labour market.
