WELDER TIG -141- CONFIRM QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFY COMPETENCE

The aim of the project is to acquire or improve qualifications in the welder’s profession by the TIG method together with a certification exam by 120 people (115M, 5K) with low qualifications from the Opolskie voivodship. 12 editions of SPAWCZ TIG-141 course will be realised each for the 10-person group. Qualifications acquired: setting parameters, running and operating welding devices, applied inguinal welding methods TIG. PROBLEMS: 1. Lack of employees in deficit competitions – TIG welder is in second place (deficiency ratio 33.2857). Operation of machines and equipment (including welding machines) is according to employers the thematic area of the most often implemented hard courses (report from the survey of companies of the Opolskie Voivodship “Training of employees”); The project by training 120 participants will help to eliminate the problem. 2. The lack of employees with formal confirmation of qualifications acquired by participation in training tailored to the expectations of employers and the Opole labour market (as many as 50 % of participants in the survey responded "definitely yes" or "like yes" to Did participation in the training help you to find a job?" – report "Efficiency of training in Opolskie voivodship"); Participation in the course ends with a certification exam before the committee of the Welding Institute in Gliwice – confirmation of the acquisition of rights, with a welder booklet. 3. Outflow of qualified workers – emigration. Training in the project of the unemployed and/or workers (even unskilled or newly employed unemployed) within the project will help guide the education path of these people, train specialists and stabilise the situation in the region’s companies. This is particularly important in terms of the outflow of specialists to foreign labour markets and the continuity of order processing. The IS certificate recognised outside Poland increases the chance of employment in the execution of Zagran’s orders.
