The subject of the project is the use of a degraded building after the former kindergarten at ul. Szymanowski 33A in Kędzierzyn-Koźl, through reconstruction and expansion (including partial demolition) in order to give it a new functional function conducive to improving the lives of residents. The building and the area will be adapted for a hospice. The investment was included in the Programme of the Revitalisation of the City of Kędzierzyn-Koźle (with perspective 2030). The project will contribute to the activation of poor and at risk of social exclusion by providing care services for dependent persons, including the elderly and persons with disabilities, through hospice services. The scope of the investment includes the reconstruction of the existing building and the extension of the wing of residence rooms for hospice patients. The new wing will accommodate 4 2-bed rooms, 3 1-bed rooms and a living area for patients with a rehabilitation room. The building will have technical and warehouse rooms, a palliative clinic for patients, a reception area, and a patient reception area. As part of the investment, external land, greenery and parking will be developed. The nature of the investment, in relation to the city of Kędzierzyn-Koźle and its surroundings, will contribute to broadening the offer addressed to mainly dependent people, including the elderly and the disabled. Output indicators: Number of facilities adapted to the needs of people with disabilities – 1 pcs. Number of projects which financed the costs of rational improvements for persons with disabilities – 1 pieces. Number of infrastructure facilities supported in revitalised areas – 1 pieces.
