The object of this project is to revitalise the degraded infrastructure of the city centre of Biała, which will result in: • Change of character of the historic Biała Market, which currently performs transport and parking functions, through construction works related to the renovation and modernisation of squares, roads, streets and sidewalks. The restoration of its social function will activate residents to participate in the life of the city through, among others, meetings and socio-cultural events, • reconstruction of the carpentry shop building (capital renovation), in order to create a place combining many social functions for meeting places for children, young people and older people, • rebuilding the square behind OPS in Biała (change of the land development method), which aims to create a meeting place in the surroundings of the greenery (this task refers to the undertaking of the 8th section of the gym. 37 LPR of the Biała Commune). The degree of achievement of these effects will be verified on the basis of indicators such as: 1. Number of supported infrastructure facilities located in revitalised areas – 1,00 pieces. 2. Area of revitalised areas – 1471.23 ha 3. Open space created or rehabilitated in urban areas – 4887.10 m² 4. Project share in the area covered by the revitalisation programme – 100 % 5. Number of facilities adapted to the needs of people with disabilities – 1,00 pieces. 6. Number of projects which financed the costs of rational improvement for people with disabilities – 1,00 units. The project is implemented within the Old Town, entered in the register of monuments of the Opolskie voivodship under no. 196/57. Moreover, the scope of the project provides for the adaptation of the White Centre space infrastructure to the needs of people with disabilities in the form of: installation of an elevator in the building after the former carpentry shop, which will remove the existing architectural barriers for disabled people in the building.
