The aim of the project is to increase the quality and innovation of research and to develop cooperation between science and industry by concentrating the cooperation of UMB units within the framework of the Centre for Innovation Research PLUS (CBI PLUS). Specific objectives: — Increasing the region’s innovation in the field of medicine by modernising the R & D infrastructure of CBI PLUS units. — Strengthening cooperation with the economy and improving the quality of research in the field of diagnosis and prevention of diseases of older people. — Establishment of a platform for cooperation between science and economy in the field of regenerative medicine and biobanking. — Creation of the necessary laboratory facilities for research and production of innovative radiopharmaceuticals within the Białystok Centre imaging. — Increasing competitiveness in the field of European science, developing excellence in research and facilitating cooperation with entrepreneurs. — Creation of new ways of individualisation of behaviour, prior detection and treatment of civilisation diseases. Indicators: Number of research laboratories supported – 21 pcs. Investment outlays for the purchase of research equipment – 88 872 371,39 PLN Number of researchers working in improved research infrastructure facilities – 33 Private investments supplementing public support for innovation or R & D projects – 21 722 231,29 PLN Number of R & D projects carried out using supported R & D infrastructure – 35 Number of enterprises using supported research laboratories – 11 Number of research units investing in investment per department. R & D -1 The project is carried out by 5 tasks, including 1 with public aid. The target group is the recipients of the results of scientific research (institutional and individual) and the population suffering from civilisation diseases. The project included the refurbishment, modernisation and construction of laboratory infrastructure for R & D purposes and the purchase of scientific and research equipment.
