Project "Good because of Podlasie. Promotion of the voivodship and local food companies at the international trade fair SIAL Paris 2018" was created in response to the analysis of the needs of food companies, concerning increased international cooperation and the idea of promoting the region, in which the selected industry is one of the leading and key industries. A partnership of 11 entities was created for the project: Podlasie Foundation for Regional Development as a leader with extensive experience in organising such activities and implementing partnership projects, 3 medium-sized companies and 7 micro and small companies connected with the industry, simultaneously being innovative entities with export potential. The industry is part of the core of intelligent specialisations of the voivodship. The project involves the participation of project partners in one of the world’s largest international food fairs SIAL Paris 2018 as exhibitors. The project will lease exhibition space together with all components, as well as a joint exhibition stand designed, created and transported, taking into account the needs of companies representing various sectors of the food industry, where export goods and the region will be displayed during the fair. Participation in the fair will also include activities related to logistics, such as selection of service contractors, booking of accommodation, transport and stay. The aim of the project is to provide financial and substantive support to 10 companies planning export development. The result will be 5 international contracts and the signing of 10 letters of intent. The long-term effect of the project will be a coherent promotion of Podlasie voivodship and the key food industry addressed both to other exhibitors and potential contractors, as well as visitors to the fair, which in turn has a chance to strengthen the region’s position in the world.
