Improvement of health status of the working population of Podlasie voivodship

Ill. civilisations are the main causes of deaths in the Podlasie Voivodeship, causing 86.68 % of deaths. Risk factors of civilisation diseases can occur individually or in combination in the workplace, negatively affecting the health of workers, which can be prevented. The main objective of the project is to improve the health status of the population working in Podlasie voivodship (target group indicated in RPZ and SZOOP), by conducting interventions in the scope of modifying risk factors of civilisation diseases and implementing actions aimed at changing the wrong lifestyle. The project fits into the assumptions, results and scope of the “Regional Health Policy Programme of Podlasie Voivodship aimed at strengthening the health potential of people working in Podlasie voivodship”. It provides for actions in full respect of the existing legal framework and the protection of patient rights, and services will be provided using Evidence Based Medicine. According to the RP, the project provides for the implementation of training activities in the field of prevention of diseases addressed to workers in the primary health care sector, health inspection, occupational health care units, employers and health educators, which will enable a large-scale intervention of health risk assessment of people active in the Podlasie voivodship aged 25-50 years in the workplace and the provision of preventive services in the workplace or primary healthcare sector (preference in the target group most vulnerable to leaving the labour market). The aim of the project is to address training activities and persons subject to health risk assessment and health education activities in the Podlasie region. According to the assumptions, the project ensures the availability of benefits for those working through convenient deadlines, does not duplicate the activities carried out under the PO WER and does not replace health care services guaranteed by public funds.
