Project BC: “Do a cytology for your concern and for your loved ones. Support for the national programme of cervical cancer prevention in Podlasie voivodship" will be implemented by the Białostock Oncology Centre in partnership with Łomżyński Medical Center sp. z o.o. and Association to Combat Cancer with Cancer based in the Specialistic Oncology Hospital. The main objective of the project is to prolong the working age and reduce female mortality by increasing the reporting to participation in the national cervical cancer prevention programme. The project involves recruiting and educating at least 2000 women and carrying out cytological tests in at least 545 patients. The project focuses on eliminating important barriers (e.g. awareness barrier, economic and organisational, psychological) in access to diagnostic tests, including through educational activities, as well as organizational activities such as providing access to research or facilities for people with disabilities. The target group of the project consists of women living, working or learning in the Podlasie Voivodship, who, on the basis of the IT Monitoring System for Prevention (SIMP), are eligible for the study: women aged between 25 and 59 years of age – screening for early detection of cervical cancer performed once every 3 years, financed by the National Health Fund on the basis of existing rules; Including in particular: Women who have never performed preventive studies on cervical cancer, residents of districts or municipalities and particularly low reporting level for cytological examinations and those who live in villages below 20 thousand inhabitants, especially in rural areas. project value PLN 1 447 127.64, implementation period from 01.01.2020 to 31.12.2021.
