The aim of the Suwalskie Centres of Vocational Competences is to develop the competences of the participants in the vocational training system to continuously meet the needs of existing and emerging jobs, which will result in an increase in employment. This objective will be pursued through 6 complementary support areas implemented in cooperation with employers (cf. 9): 1. Demand consultancy – preparation of a demand consulting system based on the needs of employers, the creation of a network of advisors and the SPIIK 2. Apprenticeships for pupils and n-li organised by employers 3. Additional forms of education – specific training; extracurricular and compensatory classes 4. Improvement of the competences of teaching staff – alignment of training qualifications in accordance with the requirements of the Association 5. Cooperation with universities – preparatory courses, classes conducted in higher education 6. Cooperation with employers – preparation of new curricula, creation of patronage classes, scholarships and trips for pupils, retrofitting of the workshop The project takes into account the type of project 2,3,4 and 5.The applicant took into account the implementation of all forms of support specified in point a-h (krit.dop.szcz.7). All the activities planned in the project result from a diagnosis of the individual needs of each of the schools covered by the project and its pupils/nli, including an analysis of the needs of employers carried out as part of the study “Audit of courses in higher education, for which M. Suwałki is the leading body” (XII 2015 – I 2016). The survey covered 100 companies operating in the district of M. Suwałki. In addition, individual consultations were carried out with key employers from the Suwałki Special Economic Zone, among others. Malow, Salag, Furniture Factory “Forte” and with the Craftsmen’s and Entrepreneurs’ Features in Suwałki.
