The project “Nowogród – Łomża – reconstruction of the voivodship road No. 645” includes construction with extension of the road with engineering facilities and necessary technical infrastructure in the section from km 45 + 918 to km 56+ 272 with a length of 10.35 km, with the ring road of Stare Kupiski. The task is located in Łomża County in the communes of Łomża and Novgorod. The planned investment includes a significant change in the course of the road involving the completion of the bypass of Stare Kupiski. This neighbouring village is a long area of compact buildings, which from the point of view of drivers significantly slows down the driving distance of about 2.5 km. For its residents, intensive traffic is very burdensome – it is a source of noise, pollution and serious safety risks. The project provides for the execution of all necessary elements for the smooth, safe and more comfortable movement of all traffic participants, the execution of an appropriate drainage system and reconstruction of the conflicting weapons network investment. The scope of the basic investment works includes: • construction of a road with a width of 7.0 m with a surface structure designed to carry traffic load KR 5 • reconstruction and construction: culverts under the voivodship road, culverts under exits and on foot-bike • construction of new and reconstruction of existing downhills with gravel, bituminous and concrete pavements • construction of service roads with bituminous surface • construction of roads on foot-bike • construction of roads on the left side of the planned route from km 45+ 709 • construction of new and reconstruction of existing bus bays • construction of pavements in the area of bus bays and in the field of construction of roads and in the area (SW Chapter 1 p. 47-55
