Reconstruction of the transport system within the Voivodeship Road No. 655 in the city of Suwałki-IV stage (reconstruction of the fragment of ul. Forest from St. Krakowska Street to ul. W. Polski with the construction of a section from ul. W. Polski to ul. Loss)

The project consists of rebuilding a section of ul. Forest from St. Krakowska Street to ul. Polish Army and construction of a new section from ul. Polish Army to ul. Loss, in the target route of voivodship road No. 655 in the town of Suwałki with a total length of 1733.25 m. The project includes: — reconstruction of ul. Forest from ul. gen. Mieczysław Mackiewicz, located near St. Krakowska (Division No. 32649/11) to ul. The Polish Army with a length of 770.42 m; — construction of a new section from ul. Polish Army to ul. Loss of 453,19 m in length; — reconstruction of ul. Loss of 512.83 m. The main objective of the project is to increase the transport accessibility of the city of Suwałki and the region in road traffic. The project will improve spatial cohesion in the interregional dimension and improve the accessibility and coherence of intra-regional transport infrastructure and better integrate transport infrastructure serving the city and region, secondary and tertiary nodes into the TEN-T network. The planned investment will contribute to reducing congestion and limitation of road capacity. The budget of the project: PLN 17 849 370,58; Value of eligible expenditure: PLN 14 661 139,14; ERDF co-financing amount: 12 461 968,20 PLN. Period of implementation of the project: 28.04.2016 (Issuing a decision to authorise the implementation of a road investment) – 25.10.2018 (financial completion of the project).
