The project concerns a deep thermal modernisation of the public utility building – an environmental common room building with a kitchen complex in Smolany, in the Puńsk commune. The investment will be realised in 2017. The direct objective of the project is to improve the energy efficiency of the building by: reducing heating costs, which at the same time reduces the operating costs of the public body; raising awareness of the public buildings in terms of energy efficiency. The beneficiary of the Project will be j.s.t. – the Municipality of Puńsk. The target group includes all employees of the building undergoing thermal modernisation and visitors to the building. As a result of deep thermal modernisation of the building (modernisation of the hot water system, including the use of heat pump, recuperation, modernisation of partitions: Floor PG1, Stropo cellar STW, OZ 1 ‘Gravitational ventilation’, DZ1 ‘Gravitational ventilation’, Stropodach, Wall, external SZ1 and SZ2, modernisation of the heating system by replacing the heat source with a high-performance biomass boiler), annual energy cost savings will amount to PLN 45.98 thousand. Carbon dioxide emissions from the heating of the building will decrease dramatically after the coal boiler room has been shut down. The estimated decrease will be over 134 tonnes of CO2 equivalent.
