This project includes the extension of the workshop building of the Center for Practical Training No. 2 in Suwałki at 33A Sejneńska Street, functioning in the structures of the Technical Schools Complex in Suwałki. The reconstructed facility will be designed to carry out classes in practical training, subjects of the construction industry, RES and mechanical and as an examination centre, for conducting examinations confirming qualifications in competitions: construction techniques, techniques of renewable energy equipment and systems, mechanic techniques and assembler of construction and finishing works in construction. The main objective of the project is to improve the quality of vocational training in the Suwałki Technical Schools Complex adapted to the needs of the labour market implemented in cooperation with employers by expanding the workshop building and purchasing equipment for practical training. Sources of financing for eligible costs: ERDF appropriations – 3 573 706,73 PLN The budget of the City of Suwałki: 1 883 101,14 PLN Period of implementation of the project: Planned starting date for the actual implementation of the project: 04.10.2018. The planned completion date for the actual implementation of the project: 30.10.2019 Follow-up results: — adapting the offer of vocational training in the ZST in Suwałki to the development directions of the voivodship (according to the strategy of smart specialisation), – creation of conditions in the ZST in Suwałki similar to the real working environment in the construction, mechanical or RES sector, by creating/modernising 14 workshops for practical training, – adaptation of the workshop building of the Practical Training Centre No. 2 in Suwałki to the needs of people with disabilities, – improving the attractiveness of the vocational training building and quality of education and quality of training.
