Project titled “Improving the quality and availability of oncological chemotherapy treatments through the creation of a central laboratory of cytostatic drugs together with the reconstruction and adaptation of the hospital pharmacy and the central sterilisation plant at the Białostock Oncology Centre” will be carried out at the BCO headquarters in Białystok, ul. Garden 12. The main objective of the project is to reduce health inequalities in the inhabitants of Podlaskie voivodship through better access to health services. The direct objective of the project is to improve the quality and availability of oncological chemotherapy by creating a central laboratory of cytostatic drugs together with the reconstruction and adaptation of the hospital pharmacy and the central steriliser. The project focuses on the creation of a central laboratory of cytostatic drugs in BCO together with the necessary reconstruction and adaptation of the hospital pharmacy and the reconstruction of the central steriliser. Implementation of this project is necessary to ensure proper functioning of the hospital and results from the principles of pharmacoeconomics. The creation of a cytostat laboratory together with the reconstruction of the hospital pharmacy will allow an increase in the number of oncological chemotherapy procedures performed both in outpatient and stationary mode. The project will be implemented between July 2018 and December 2019. The total value of the project is PLN 13 191 592.91. gross, including the value of eligible costs of the project is PLN 7,999,501.23. The expected subsidy from the ERDF under the RAP 2014-2020 amounts to PLN 6 799 575.97.
