The main objective of the project is to improve the quality, efficiency and accessibility of health services in the areas of geriatrics, palliative and hospice care and rehabilitation of older people in the Kolne district. The project consists of renovating part of the Internal Branch for the launch of the Geriatric Division and purchasing the necessary medical equipment for the purposes of the subdivision. Another element is the replacement of the most well-deserved medical equipment at the Department of Paliatic Medicine and the Home Hospice, as well as retrofitting with completely new equipment in order to increase the number of services provided and improve their quality. An important element of the project will also be the purchase of a road ambulance, which is the basic tool of providing services in home conditions (access to sick homes by a doctor, psychologist, physiotherapist and nurses). The last element supplementing and linking the whole project is the retrofitting of the Centre for Day Rehabilitation and the Physiotherapy Laboratory with apparatus dedicated to the elderly and under palliative and hospice care. The implementation of the investment consists of two tasks: 1 Purchase of modern medical equipment and equipment for the needs of geriatrics, palliative and hospice care and rehabilitation of the elderly 2 Performing the necessary repair and construction works of the Geriatric Division and the Department of Palliative Medicine As a result of the project, the following products will be achieved: Number of public entities supported by 1 pcs. Investment outlays for the purchase of medical equipment – PLN 1 228 791,38. Number of facilities adapted to persons with disabilities-1 pcs. The main beneficiary of the project will be the General Hospital in Kolno. The indirect beneficiaries of the project are/will be: patients benefiting from benefits under the Geriatric Division, the Department of Paliatric Medicine, Home Hospice and therapeutic rehabilitation; residents of the Kolnen district and neighboring districts; the hospital staff.
