SUNNY ROOFS OF THE CITY SEMIATYCZE

The aim of the project “Sun Roofs of the City of Siemiatycze” is to increase the share of renewable energy sources in energy production in the city of Siemiatycze. The project assumes that by the end of VII 2018, solar collectors with a total installed capacity of 0,27 MWt will be installed on 80 private buildings/private installations, used to heat hot water. The technical parameters of solar systems have been adapted to the needs of individual households, who have volunteered to participate in the project. All potential project participants belong to one of the so-called disadvantaged groups identified in the LSR, and priority will be given to persons or families benefiting from or qualifying for social assistance benefits. The project will result in reducing CO2 emissions and improving the environment, and in the longer term, the project will have a positive impact on the result of losses in RPOWP, i.e. increasing the share of renewable energy in total energy production and gross final energy consumption. The project will improve the quality of life of residents through the implementation and promotion of ecological solutions, in line with the specific objective of LSR 2.2. The project will directly implement indicators such as the number of built units of heat generation from RES, additional capacity to generate energy from renewable sources (CI), production of heat from newly built/new RES-based installations, estimated decrease in greenhouse gas emissions (CI). The project concerns TYPU 1: RES – installation of RES in households. The promotion and dissemination activities provide information on the project, together with the source of funding and photographs on its own website, the LAG’s website and the local press. The project will last less than 18 months. The town is located partly in the Protected Landscape Area "Valley of the Bug
