The project will be implemented in the Municipality of Puńsk, which is part of the Sejny County and within the scope of the “Suwalsko-Sejneńska” Association Local Action Group. The investment shall consist of: — installation of photovoltaic panels on 20 individual buildings; — installation of solar collectors on 6 individual buildings owned by residents of the Puńsk Commune. Solar collectors will be used to heat water (heat energy), while photovoltaic panels will be used to produce electricity for individual households. The aim of the project is to increase the use of energy from renewable sources by the Municipality of Puńsk through the construction of photovoltaic installations and solar collectors in residential buildings. The investment will contribute to the achievement of the following (1) output indicators: — Number of built units of electricity generation from RES – 20 pieces; — Number of built units of heat generation from RES – 6 units; — Additional renewable electricity generation capacity – 0,07 MWe; — Additional capacity to generate heat from renewable sources – 0,02 MWt; 2. the result: — Production of electricity from newly built RES installations – 67,60 MWhe/year; — Production of heat from newly built/new RES-based installations – 17,58 MWht/year; — Estimated annual decrease in greenhouse gas emissions – 60.87 tonnes of CO2/year. The investment will be implemented in compliance with the requirements of the directives: 2008/50/EC, 2009/28/EC, 2000/60/EC and 2009/125/EC.
