Project Mon. “Improving the condition of preschool infrastructure in Dąbrowa Bialystok” is mainly aimed at improving the conditions of preschool education in Dąbrowa Białystok. The analysis of the current state of the building indicates the need to carry out repair works of the facility in order to solve the problems identified. The Local Government Kindergarten building is a building built in 1986 in the industrialised “French brick” technology, a two-storey, unreliable building with a usable area of 1065 m². The building is directly adjacent to the one-storey building of the oil boiler room with a separate entrance. On the ground floor there are windmill, lobby, bathrooms, adaptive and rehabilitation common room, children’s rooms, magazines and closets, lockers, corridor, kitchen rooms. On the floor there is a general development room, children’s rooms, bathrooms, lockers, administration rooms, kitchen, food storage. The implementation of the project will improve the conditions of operation of the kindergarten, as well as the removal of architectural barriers, especially for people with disabilities, but also hindering moving around the kindergarten building. The high thresholds pose a danger to the pupils of the institution and prevent wheelchairs from entering. Currently, the floors in the halls on the ground floor are wavy, uneven, inclined, which poses a danger to children. In addition, the doors in the facility require replacement, as they are in very poor technical condition. In the vicinity of the kindergarten there is an area cured by unequal concrete slabs, which also pose a danger in pedestrian communication. The project will consolidate the area, which will increase safety for children, parents and kindergarten workers.
