Renewable Energy Sources for the local community in the innovative project of the Housing Cooperative in Chain.

The aim of the project is to launch renewable energy installations in housing estates managed by SM in Łańcut in order to provide alternative and free-of-charge power for parts of common multi-family residential buildings. The project comprises 33 installations of wind microturbine, together with the necessary infrastructure supplying 34 multi-family buildings and a public facility. The connection of the I High School in Łańcut concerns the power supply of two classrooms. The planned investment (innovative wind turbines) is a pioneering project in the region and country. Basic parameters of the installation:Number of power generation units: 33 pieces Unit power of the installation: 0,5 kWh or 1 kWh (and multiple).Total installed power: 24,5 kWh.The amount of energy generated from the RES installation: 85,75 MWh/year.Type of installation: off-grid.The installation includes the construction and connection of devices to an existing network in buildings. The project includes connections of two objects (public facility, building at ul. Podwale 1 in the Chain). The installation includes equipment accumulating the energy generated. The project assumes:- Reduction of emissions to the environment by 70.74 tonnes CO2 equivalent – Satisfaction of 100 % supply demand for common buildings and accumulation of surplus.- Savings of energy supply costs of at least PLN 47162.50/year at 1 kW price of PLN 0,55 net and current consumption at the level of 80667 kWh/year. In addition: energy security of project beneficiaries through diversification of power sources; promoting resource efficiency attitudes, increasing social responsibility for the environment and air quality, combating climate change and enhancing the resilience of local energy systems to the risks arising from these changes.
