Reducing emissions by replacing inefficient heat sources in households from the Municipality of Mielec

The subject of the investment is the realisation of an umbrella project consisting of replacement of traditional, inefficient heating systems and installation of ecological installations for the production of heat. The project includes the replacement of traditional sources of heat (old coal boilers) with modern, ecological gas boilers (116 units with a total power of 2531 kW) and boilers class 5 for biomass (11 units with a total power of 215 kW). The project will cover 127 properties, in which there are 161 households, belonging to residents of the Municipality of Mielec. In addition, 25 % of eligible expenditure in the project is intended for modernisation of the central heating system, replacement of radiators and installation of thermostatic valves and thermal modernisation works in selected buildings in which the heat source will be replaced. These activities will contribute to the main goal of the Project, which is to reduce emissions from individual heat sources in the Mielec Municipality. This objective will be achieved through the achievement of the direct objectives, which respond to the identified problems:1. Reducing the demand for energy from traditional sources, thereby reducing emissions of pollutants into ambient air, improving air purity.2. Improve the conditions of use of the facilities and increase the comfort of the apartment and stay.3. Socio-economic development of the region, including: improving the comfort of life and health of residents, increasing awareness of saving and generating energy. The implementation of the Project will generate a number of socio-economic benefits, which will benefit mainly: Municipal Municipality Mielec (as a local government unit), residents of Mielec and tourists.
