The project envisages the extension and reconstruction of the Social Welfare Centre in Zaleszany, which will increase the usable area of the building to 388.51 m² (currently it is only 174.48 m²). Currently, the OPS in Zaleszany is located in two buildings that are not functionally adapted to perform effective work by social workers and family benefits workers. Such a situation translates negatively into the quality of service of OPS customers in Zaleszany and thus on the assessment of the unit’s work and its image in the eyes of the residents of the Zaleszany Commune. The aim of the project is to ensure the quality of public (social) infrastructure and access to social services, including those provided in the local community, for groups at risk of social exclusion. The project assumes the development of services provided in the local community through the creation of the Senior Self-Help Club (support centre). The Senior Self-Help Club will provide support services for elderly and disabled people. It will be the organizational unit of social assistance for daily stay, operating within the framework of the OPS in Zaleszany). The project will be implemented in the form of partnership with the SMK Local Fund Foundation. The involvement of the Lefted External Partner by the Municipality is intended to increase the effectiveness of actions for social activation of groups at risk of social exclusion, including in particular the elderly and the disabled. The partner will actively cooperate with OPS in Zaleszany on the current activities of the Senior Self-Help Club and in the field of socio-professional activation. The implementation of the project will also contribute to the improvement of the energy efficiency envisaged for the reconstruction of the building and will positively increase accessibility of the facility for people with disabilities by adjusting the functional system and applying technical improvements (lift construction).
