The main objective of the project is to increase the number of preschooling places by 15 places (8K and 7M) in the Preschool Division in Łączka Brzeskie in the period from 03.09.2019 to 28.08.2020 at the early stage of education (3.4.5-year-old children) by creating new preschool places and organising additional activities to correct development deficits in children. The project will contribute to the specific objective of action 9.1 Development of pre-school education: increasing the number of places of pre-school education. The target group of the project consists of children aged 3,4,5 years old living in Przecław commune, especially in Łączki Brzeskie, not included in preschool education due to the lack of places in preschool education in the municipality. At present, only a kindergarten department at the Primary School operates in Łączka Brzeskie. It is attended by 22 children at the age of 5.6. The unit’s only open for five hours. There are no preschool places for younger children and the existing infrastructure does not meet the needs of this group of children. In order to implement EU indicators and respond to the needs of parents, there is a need to generate additional places for children from the area of Przecław, especially from Łączki Brzeskie, to retrofitting the existing institution, to adapt school bathrooms to the needs of younger children, and to equalise the chances of introducing additional classes in speech therapy. Speech therapy classes will be addressed to 10 children with pronunciation problems (5 boys and 5 girls – in accordance with the principle of proportionality). The diagnosis shows that children with disabilities will not be involved in the project. However, all actions will take into account the principle of equal opportunities and non-discrimination, including accessibility for people with disabilities.
