The project is addressed to a group of 831 students (418K, 413M) from 11 schools (7 primary schools and 4 junior high schools) and 70 teachers (64K and 6M) of Pruszcz Gdański Municipality. The value of the task is PLN 1 996 860.60. The aim of the project is to increase pupils’ key competences, which will help them to start their careers or continue their studies. The above-mentioned objective is also related to activities enhancing the competence of teachers in an area that is effective and adapted to modern requirements of the transfer of knowledge. The long-term goal is to consolidate the quality changes introduced in the project in teaching in schools of Pruszcz Gdański commune through the implementation of a program of supporting schools using a network of cooperation. The project foresees the following actions: 1. Additional activities in schools shaping key competences in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, foreign languages and social and emotional competences, aimed at both lower-performing pupils and non-educational pupils corresponding to their interests and abilities. The classes will be conducted by research, design and workshop methods. The forms and scope of classes are designed to help students make practical use of the knowledge gained in classrooms. In addition, classes related to professional counseling are planned for junior high school students. 2. Equip the schools covered by the project with teaching aids, ICT tools and equipping the subject studios with materials and resources necessary for the implementation of classes. 3. After-school activities – cooperation with educational and cultural institutions and organisations, in particular in the field of natural, mathematical and linguistic education. 4. Professional improvement of teachers through the implementation of a programme of support for community schools on the basis of a network of teachers of subjects shaping key competences and individual vocational training. The project will be implemented in the period from IX.2016 to VI.2018.
