“Education as a key to the future – raising the competences of Kościerski students”

The project is addressed to 1501 students and 80 teachers from 8 schools under the governing body – Municipality Kościerzyna (GMK). The aim of the project is to increase the quality of primary education (SP) No 1,2,6,4,3 and gymnasium(G) No 1.2,3 in Kościerzyn in the area of key competences and creativity Specific objectives: •increasing key competences of at least 90 % of pupils in the field of communication in English, learning skills, math-technological and natural sciences •increasing competences of at least 90 % of teachers in areas correlated with the needs of pupils: teaching with activation methods using ICT tools and learning techniques, experimental teaching. In order to determine the needs of schools, a diagnosis was prepared from the school years 2012/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015, supplemented by interviews and surveys from 2015, adopted by the Mayor of K-na No. 0050.22.2016 of 28.01.2016. The applicant declares the implementation of the project activities based on the results of the diagnosis: •developing key competences in the field of communication in English and learning skills in primary schools • activities developing the creativity of pupils in the field of math-technological and natural sciences in primary schools and secondary schools •curriculum courses supporting teachers in teaching by means of activation methods using ICT tools and learning techniques in primary schools •curricula shaping teachers’ competences in primary schools and middle schools will be sustainable. The project fulfils the Priority Objective of the “Strategy for the Development of Education of the City of Kościerzyna for the years 2011-2020”: Ensuring a high level of education, operational objectives: —improving the level of teaching and qualifications of teachers – new teaching methods and out-of-school activities, -implementation of modern means of teaching (workshop equipment,multimedia)
