Good school = good profession, attractive work

The aim of the project is to increase the level of employment of school graduates in the Sopot district by, among others, strengthening the attractiveness of the offer of vocational schools, adapting the professional competences of teachers to the requirements of a dynamically changing labour market and systematising the cooperation between schools and employers and universities. The measures to be implemented have been planned in the OPTION: “The Diagnosis of Vocational Education in the Sopot District of 11-05-2015” approved on 29-05-2015 by the Mayor of Sopot. The project is integrated with the project submitted under Measure 4.1. competition no. RPPM.04.01-IZ.00-22-001/16 and complies with the scope of the strategic project entitled “Creating a network of higher secondary vocational schools that takes into account the needs of subregional and regional labour markets” [in accordance with the Regional Strategic Programme: “Active Pomerania” (Resolution of the Management Board of the Pomeranian Voivodship no. 02-06-2016 on the determination of the scope of the strategic undertaking) The project aims to improve the quality of vocational education by extending the educational offer to include courses and trainings raising professional qualifications, thereby increasing the chances of students of Sopot vocational schools on the labour market. The project plans to support 336 students and 23 zsh teachers from three sectors: Tourism, sport and recreation; Transport, logistics and automotive as well as ICT and electronics. Each form of support implemented in the project shall lead to the acquisition of qualifications or acquisition or improvement of professional competences verified in accordance with the 4-step procedure. Support for pupils and teachers will take the form of internships with employers, additional activities, courses and training. The project is intended to introduce a uniform procedure for testing the fate of graduates in all schools. A model of educational and professional advice will be developed. The entity implementing the project will be the Continuing Training Centre.
